Pic of Rane TTM-58SL?

With Winter NAMM right around the corner, I recently wrote an article speculating the release of a Rane Empath mixer with Serato Scratch Live built in. Days later, the Serato forums were buzzing about a picture “leaked” on the “Serato Control Vinyl Collectors’ Group” Facebook page. The photo (below), shows a group of guys with big grins on their faces staring at an unknown mixer. Supposedly the picture was taken at the Serato facility with Serato staff. Could this be a new 2 channel Scratch Live Mixer, aka the Rane TTM-58SL? Or, maybe it actually is a 3 channel mixer. If you look closely at the picture, you can make out what appears to be a 3rd channel fader cap on the mixer’s right side (on the left side as you are looking at the photo).

Upon further research, on the NAMM website, the Rane booth will feature DJ Big Wiz doing a “Mixer Comparison” on Thursday, January 19th. Other big time DJs will also be performing at the Rane booth, including DJ Vajra, Z-Trip, Faust & Shortee (“Come See What’s New”), and a Beat Junkies Anniversary Celebration. Sounds to me like a major product launch! My fingers are crossed!
